Textiles and shoe factories flourished in Webster resulting in a population with diverse ethnic backgrounds. By far, the Town's richest asset is the beautiful fresh water, spring fed Lake Chargoggaggoggmanchaugagoggchaubunagungamaugg. Water activities abound such as fishing, waterskiing, swimming, boating and sailing on this magnificent five mile long lake.
