Zoning Board of Appeals - Vacancies
alternate MEMBER - ONE (1) VACANCY
The Town of Webster is seeking two individuals to serve on the Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA). The ZBA is comprised of seven members appointed by the Selectmen consisting of five full members and two alternate members. Alternate Members participate in all matters before the Board in a non-voting capacity unless a regular member is unable to vote in accordance with State law. All members are appointed to serve a three year term. The Board meets on an as-needed basis when action items are pending, typically once a month on a Monday evening at 6:00 p.m.
The general purpose of the Zoning Board of Appeals is to uphold the duties as defined by the Webster Zoning By-law with regards to variance, special permit and appeal applications. The purpose of these duties is to ensure the public safety, interest and welfare of the residents of the Town.
Individuals must be residents of the Town of Webster and possess a basic understanding or knowledge of the duties and responsibilities of the subject multiple member body.
