The Webster Police Department is a member of the Central Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council, a regional task force comprised of 42 towns. Webster Police Department currently has members of two of CEMLEC's units, SWAT and Accident Reconstruction.The Central Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council (CEMLEC) SWAT team was started in 1995 and was based out of the Auburn Police Department.
The South Worcester Drug and Counter Crime Task Force was created to pool resources in furtherance of fighting the war on drugs. It has since grown to encompass all types of investigations, primarily those that deal with crimes that are not confined to the border of one Town.
The Webster Police Honor Guard is comprised of a dedicated group of officers from the department. These dedicated officers volunteer their time to train and prepare for events ranging from parades to police academy graduations to funerals for retired officers.
