Webster Home Rule Charter Review Committee

A Charter Review Committee has been formed to perform the periodic review of the current Webster Home Rule Charter, as required in Section 7-7(a) of the Charter. The overall goal of this committee will be to review, edit, and revise the Charter, to comply with current regulations and best practices for the Town of Webster. This review will continue over the next several months, culminating in warrant articles seeking approval at the Spring Annual Town Meeting in 2017.

During this review period, the CRC will meet at least monthly, on the fourth Wednesday, at 6:00 PM, in the Selectmen's meeting room. Additional meetings may be called, as necessary, and all agendas will be posted on the Town of Webster website, along with the approved minutes of those meetings. Public Hearings will also occur at various stages of this process.

All town officials (elected and appointed) as well as Webster residents, are urged to give input throughout the review process. Anyone who wants to give input can be heard at any of the meetings. In addition, anyone can send their comments or questions, via e-mail, to charter.review@webster-ma.gov. The CRC welcomes your input.
