  • Offal (Septage / Trash Haulers)
  • Disposal System Installer (for on-site septic systems)
  • Bodywork Practitioner
  • Bodywork Establishment
  • Tanning Facilities
  • Marijuana Operating Permits

Be sure to sign into your OpenGov account and following the instructions to RENEW your current permit(s). You do NOT need to start a new application. Most fields should auto populate with last year's information!!

Description of Services

The Health Department works with the Board of Health to:

Assess the Town's health needs Develop public health initiatives
Monitor communicable & infectious disease Provide annual flu vaccine clinics
Repsond to general nuisance complaints Respond to housing complaints
Inspect summer camps for children Monitor mosquito control programs
Inspect semi-public swimming pools Monitor lakes & swimming beaches
Inspect food establishments Manage a Medical Reserve Corps

The Massachusetts Department of Public Health has a campaign Take the First Step which helps people with quitting smoking, vaping and use of other tobacco or nicotine products. You can take the first step by calling the Massachusetts Quitline (1-800-QUIT-NOW) or you can click HERE for more information.

New England Disposal Technologies (NEDT) has opened a "HousNEDT Opens in new windowehold Hazardous Products Collection Center" that has been permitted by the MassDEP to accept waste materials from households located in any community in the Commonwealth.
