[ARCHIVED] Notice of Temporary Closure: Town of Webster Veterans’ Home

**Notice of Temporary Closure: Town of Webster Veterans’ Home**

The Veterans' home will be closed for roof repairs from Monday, June 9, through Monday, June 16.

This closure is necessary for roof maintenance, which is scheduled to commence on the afternoon of Monday, June 9, and will last for one week.

**Purpose of Closure:** The closure is essential for the following reasons: -

**Safety:** Roof maintenance involves work at heights and may require scaffolding or other safety measures, making it unsafe for Town of Webster employees or the public to be present near the building. -

**Repair Work:** The roofing work will include inspections, repairs, or replacements of any damaged materials to ensure the roof's structural integrity and prevent future leaks or water infiltration.

**Duration:** The building will be closed for one week, from Monday afternoon, June 9, until Monday, June 16.

**Access Restrictions:** During this time, access to the building will be limited to construction personnel only. Veterans and community members should make alternative arrangements with the Veterans' District office in the Town of Dudley, located at 71 West Main Street in the municipal complex. -

**Notification:** Veterans and community members will receive notifications about the specific timeline and any changes in maintenance operations through the Veterans panel/section on the Town of Webster website.

**Impact on Veterans/Town Residents and Operations** -

**Inconvenience:** There may be some inconveniences, such as increased noise levels in the area or restricted access for those who rely on the building. -

**Health and Safety:** This maintenance is crucial for maintaining healthy living and working conditions, as a well-maintained roof is vital to protecting against adverse weather conditions.

**Conclusion** To prepare for the closure, Veterans may want to plan any necessary arrangements to accommodate this transition period. For any questions or more information regarding this process, please contact the District Director of Veterans Services or the Town of Dudley Veterans Services office at 508.949.8010.
