On February 28, 2022, the Webster Board of Health unanimously approved to rescind the Mask Order for Municipal Buildings from October 5, 2021. Effective March 1, 2022, the Town of Webster will defer to the MA Department of Public Health's ongoing Mask Advisory. DPH advises that the following individuals should wear a mask or face covering when indoors (and not in your own home):
- Unvaccinated individuals
- Fully vaccinated individuals if
- you have a weakened immune system, or
- you are at increased risk for severe disease due to your age or an underlying medical condition, or
- someone in your household has a weakened immune system or is at increased risk of severe disease
Please note, individuals who are considered close contacts or who have tested positive must follow the MA DPH isolation and quarantine guidance which includes wearing a mask in public for 5 more days after they leave isolation or quarantine on day 5, regardless of vaccination status.
Additionally, the Webster Health Department will be giving out free iHealth COVID-19 rapid tests to the public. Test kits will be available for pick-up at the Health Department in the lower level of Town Hall during normal business hours.
