Harmful Algae Bloom found in Middle Pond of Webster Lake.
As of Monday evening, August 11, 2025, the Webster Health Department, based on the recommendation of the MA Department of Public Health, has issued a Public Health Advisory for Middle Pond of Webster Lake.
Given the North and South Basins are narrowly connected, MA DPH recommends monitoring the conditions, but an advisory is not necessary at this time.
The Health Department will continue to monitor North and South Ponds daily to see if conditions intensify or worsen.
Please contact the Health Department at (508) 949-3800 x4002 or email photos to health.department@webster-ma.gov for other possible reports of algae blooms.
