Opening the Word Peer Recovery Center, Inc. is located at 174 Main Street in Webster. Our goal is to provide resources, programs and activities to individuals who suffer from substance use disorder (drugs and/or alcohol), and who are seeking recovery. We are staffed by volunteer peers in recovery, peer recovery coaches, and peer recovery specialists. We provide a holistic approach to recovery by including referrals for treatment such as counseling, detox, residential recovery programs, outpatient recovery programs, and medication assistive treatment; conducting 12 step programs such as Narcotic Anonymous, All Recovery, Celebrate Recovery, Music in Recovery, etc.; offering wellness recovery opportunities such as recovery yoga and sober hikes; and holding support group meetings such as Woman to Woman and Loved Ones Support group. In addition to our programs, the Center is open Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9 am to 1 pm for drop ins, conversation, fellowship, and support.
Our services are free of charge and available to anyone who is actively seeking recovery from drugs and/or alcohol. We are also a secondary distribution and training site for Narcan, a life-saving medication used to reverse opiate overdose.
