The Webster Retirement Board is pleased to provide our active and retired members, their families, and the public information about the Webster Contributory Retirement System.

The website can be used as a helpful retirement planning tool, as a reliable source of important explanations of the public employee retirement law, and as a way to report current news about the retirement system.

Important Information for Active Members on Veterans’ Buybacks

If you are an active member who qualifies as a "veteran" under the retirement plan and you wish to purchase your prior military service and have not done so, please note there have been significant changes to the Veterans' Buybacks law. The deadline for purchasing military service is now within one year of vesting in the retirement system, which is effectively 11 years of creditable service. There is a one-time, one-year grace period for active member veterans who previously missed the opportunity to purchase their military service.
