Key staff meet every other week to discuss land development proposals and provide advice to project proponents on the various regulations and requirements. These meetings offer land owners and developers the opportunity to discuss site contraints and permitting requirements for potential projects such as:
Zoning & Land Use Requirements
Health Department Requirements
Public Safety Requirement - fire, security
Parking, Site Access
Proponents meet with key land use and public safety staff such as the Building Commissioner, Engineering, Board of Health Agent, Conservation Agent, Town Planner, Community Development, Fire Chief, Highway Superintendent and Police Chief in an informal setting to identify issues and discuss the permitting path for the project if it should go forward. Issues are discussed for the benefit of the property owner / project proponent while providing staff with insight into the concerns of other departments.
